It offers environmental education through the study of butterflies.
Opened on Feb. 17th, 2009, the Borboletário Municipal is located at the Parque Ecológico do Jardim Piratininga.
It was built according to the precepts of sustainability, with recycled material.
It’s the State of São Paulo’s 4th Butterfly House and the 2nd of the Metropolitan region.
It is a project licensed by IBAMA and offers schools and community guided visits, besides being part of the Eco bus itinerary.
